Rating System
At Kitchen Gadget Queen, we are not professional chefs nor do we work in elaborate test kitchens or precision labs. Instead we try the product in our own home kitchen and give you our honest opinion about what we like and don’t like.
We rate each product on four criteria:
- Overall: This represents our overall impression of the product and whether the product delivers on its promise.
- Performance: Does it work? And how well does it work?
- Design/Features: In comparison to other products in the same category, does it have any extra features that are outstanding?
- Value: Is it worth the money?
The average rating is a combination of all these criteria. It is calculated as a weighted average with the following values: Overall (40%), Performance (20%), Design/Features (20%) and Value (20%).
Whenever possible we rate and review every product ourselves. When we are not able to rate it ourselves, then we rely on friends and family who have used the product in their homes. But given the plethora of kitchen products out there, sometimes we rely on the expert opinions of others so we can still give you a better understanding about the product before you buy. Don’t worry, we’ll always tell you when we do this and we won’t try to pass it off as our own opinion.
